CHILDREN (this includes any from previous marriages that were the deceased's)
BANK ACCOUNTS AND LIFE INSURANCE People often have bank accounts with children or other family members as signators on such accounts. It is important to know which accounts the deceased may have so we can list them in the probate. These accounts are commonly checking, savings, retirement, term life insurance, or whole life insurance. Many of the companies holding these accounts require the Court Order showing that you have been appointed as the Personal Representative. Do not be surprised if the account information cannot be shared with you prior to this order being supplied to them.
