D. Blair Clark is the principal in the firm.  He has practiced since 1971 in Boise, in the areas of corporate, agricultural, property and government law and litigation.  Since 1978, his emphasis has been on bankruptcy, including liquidations and personal/business reorganizations.   He has taught at several seminars on bankruptcy matters for both attorneys and non‑lawyers alike.

Blair is admitted to practice before all Idaho and Oregon courts, including the U.S. District and Bankruptcy Courts for Idaho and Oregon and the U.S. 9 th Circuit Court of Appeals. He has also practiced in many other U.S. Bankruptcy Courts, including Arizona, Delaware, California, Colorado, Pennsylvania and Washington.

He has represented several farmers, ranchers and dairymen, including all of the Canyon County, Idaho, seed growers in Sunseeds Genetics in San Jose, CA (in which all of them received full payment of their claims.)  He has also successfully represented clients with unique legal situations, such as agricultural cooperatives needing bankruptcy reorganizations.  He has represented a county hospital needing Chapter 9 protection in order to reorganize its debts, and even an Idaho county.  His clients have included various types of businesses–physicians and medical providers, farmers and ranchers, agricultural landlords and tenants, governmental agencies and many everyday businesses and individuals.

A native of Mountain Home, Blair received his B.S. (1969) and J.D. (1971) degrees from the University of Idaho. He is a member of the Commercial Law and Bankruptcy Section of the Idaho State Bar (former chair) and the American Bankruptcy Institute. He holds an “AV” rating from Martindale‑Hubbel, a nationwide attorney directory.

Blair is also active in the Masonic fraternities: Past Master of Idaho Lodge #1 AF&AM and Idaho Lodge of Research #1965;  Secretary of the Idaho DeMolay Legion of Honor and several other Masonic bodies.  For 40 years, he and his family were all active in retriever field trials and hunt tests as both a handler and judge. He is the past president of the Master National Retriever Club and judged that event in 2003.

He takes great pride in family, including his “first wife” Anne (since 1969), his daughter Mary Beth Blair, and his grandson Aaron.
