D. Blair Clark is the principal in the Law Office of D. Blair Clark, PC., where his practice areas include corporate and business law, probates, wills and trusts, and real estate lender litigation. His emphasis is on bankruptcy, including liquidations and personal/business reorganizations, primarily for debtors. He has taught at several seminars on bankruptcy matters for both attorneys and non attorneys alike.
Mr. Clark is admitted to practice before all Idaho and Oregon courts, including the U.S. District and Bankruptcy Courts for Idaho and Oregon and the U.S. 9th Circuit Court of Appeals. He has also practiced in U.S. Bankruptcy Courts in Arizona, Delaware, California, Colorado, Pennsylvania, and Washington.
He has successfully represented clients with unique legal situations, including hospitals, agricultural cooperatives, physicians and medical providers, and others needing bankruptcy relief. He represented all of the Canyon County seed growers for Sunseeds Genetics in that chapter 11, successfully getting all of his clients’ claims paid in full. He is also the first attorney to file a Chapter 9 in Southern Idaho. His clients have included various types of businesses, including farmers and ranchers, agricultural landlords and tenants alike, and many other businesses and individuals.
He received his B.S. (1969) and J.D. (1971) degrees from the University of Idaho. Mr. Clark is a member of the Commercial Law and Bankruptcy Section of the Idaho State Bar (former chairman) and the American Bankruptcy Institute. He holds an “AV” rating from Martindale Hubble, a nationwide attorney directory, and has for over 30 years.
Blair is an Idaho native, having been raised in Mountain Home, Idaho, learning to appreciate the problems facing small businesses, farmers and ranchers. When he is not working, he loves spending time with his wife and daughter along with their grandson. Blair was an avid duck hunter and dog trainer until life threw a curve ball where he transferred those hobbies into learning to play guitar.
